Meet with Pastor DSP Olugbenga David Egunsola, a dedicated servant of God and a pillar of the Nigeria Police Force. A: Today’s event is indeed significant, marking 25 years of CPFN in Police College Ikeja, the launch of my book, and my birthday. It’s a triple celebration, and I’m grateful to God for His blessings and guidance throughout my ministry.
Q: Your book, “Christian Police Prevailing Strategies in Economic Hardship,” is a timely release. What inspired you to write it, particularly in the face of the current economic challenges in Nigeria?
A: The economic challenges facing our country and the world at large prompted me to write this book. I wanted to encourage Christian police officers to stay committed to their faith despite the difficulties they face. The book provides strategies for prevailing in economic hardship while maintaining one’s integrity and faith.
Q: What is your vision for CPFN, and how do you see the organization growing in the next five years?
A: My vision for CPFN is to see it become a beacon of hope for Christian police officers across Nigeria. I envision us growing stronger, with more members and a greater impact on our communities. We plan to achieve this through initiatives like the Christian Police National Stakeholders Forum, which will bring together supporters, senior police officers, and civilians to encourage and facilitate growth within the fellowship.

A: I’m delighted and humbled to receive this award. It’s a recognition of God’s work through me, and I’m grateful to Christian Events Watch magazine for this honor. This award will encourage me to do more good things, serve God more, and spread the message of hope and faith to more people.
Q: You’ve had a fulfilling 25 years of ministry with CPFN. Have you faced any challenges, and how have you overcome them?
A: Yes, there have been challenges, but with prayer, faith, and God’s intervention, I’ve been able to surmount them. I’ve learned to trust in God’s plan and timing, and He’s always been faithful to guide me through difficult times.
Q: What advice would you give to young police officers who are struggling to balance their faith with their duties?
A: My advice would be to fear God and prioritize their faith. I’ve seen many officers who have successfully balanced their faith with their duties, and I’m living proof that it’s possible. With God’s guidance and support, young officers can navigate the challenges of their job while staying committed to their faith.
Q: You’ve brought together other sister fellowships like the Nigeria Military Fellowship. Why is it important to unite with other law enforcement agencies in Christian fellowships?
A: As law enforcement agencies, we face common challenges and enemies. By uniting in Christian fellowships, we can support one another, share our experiences, and tackle these challenges together. It’s essential for us to stand together as one body in Christ, regardless of our agencies or backgrounds.
Q: On your birthday, what are your desires, and how do you plan to celebrate this special day?
A: My birthday desire is to be financially supportive to the less privileged, so that they can also experience God’s blessings through me. I plan to celebrate this day by reaching out to those in need and sharing God’s love with them.
