* As Zonal Conference Records Huge Success.
The message of our Lord Jesus Christ to the disciples in Mark chapter 16: 15-16 that ” Go ye into the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”, has no doubt been deep rooted in the fabrics’ of officers of the Nigeria Customs Service ( NCS), which invariably led to the formation of the Customs Christian Fellowship.
Unlike never before, the teaching of the messages of our Lord Jesus Christ by his anointed ministers within the fold, has shaped the conducts of officers and men of the Customs Service, who belong to the fold, discharging their duties with the fear of God.
With chapters in all the Formations, States, Zones and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Nigeria Customs Christian Fellowship (NCCF) has continued to win more souls through the convocation of various programmes which include prayers sessions, counselling and conferences.
One of such programmes was the Zonal Conference held recently on Saturday, 15th June 2024 at the conference hall of the Muritala Mohammed Customs Command, Ikeja, Lagos.
The Conference theme “The Master Has Come” found in the book of St. John chapter 11vs 20 attracted the creme-de-la- creme in the Customs Christian fold. They were led by the NCCF Executive members, Board of Trustees members, and representatives of various chapels, pastors, and stakeholders.
Notably amongst them are the National Coordinator, Elder (Dr) EJ Harrison, Comptroller (Pastor) Bamisaiye Zonal Coordinator, ACG Eporwei CB Edike (Rtd) BoT member, Comptroller O A Adebakin from Gwagwalada NCCSC.
Choirs from various chapels of the NCCF, who were also in attendance, spiced up the occasion with melodious songs, with sonorous tunes to add colour and glamour to the event.
In his welcome remarks at the event, the Zonal Coordinator, Comptroller (Pastor) Bamisaiye spoke about the miraculous visit of Jesus Christ to Mary and Martha and the significance of the visit.
He implored the congregation to learn from the visit in order to boost their faith in the Lord, stressing that the arrival of Jesus rekindled the faith of Mary and Martha that the solution provider has arrived.
“The congregation must have total trust that Jesus Christ can solve any of their challenges if they have faith in him.”, the NCCF Zonal Coordinator emphasised.
While delivery his exaltation message titled ” Are You A Disciple of Jesus Christ”, ACG Eporwei CB Edike (Rtd), charged the congregation to regularly read , study and meditate on the words of God for clear and proper understanding.
According to him, ” Jesus Christ preached to everybody including religion leaders, bishops, general overseers, evangelist. Those who understood him are the people he called his disciples. If you’re a disciple you will discharge your duties well. If everybody sees you as body of Christ and God didn’t understand or see you as such, it’s very wrong. How many persons have you won to Christ?
Delivering a speech at the occasion, the National Coordinator, Elder (Dr.) E J Harrison said the theme of the conference is an affirmation of the earnest expectations of the fellowship for the year 2024.
Citing the theme titled, “THE MASTER HAS COME”, Dr. Harrison, a Comptroller of Customs, stressed that Jesus is indeed here to set the foot of members on a solid rock with a new song in their mouth.
According to him, “The Master has come to revive, restore and bring back to life all that the enemy has subdued, captured, destroyed and killed in our lives, family, career and ministry.”
Dr. Harrison urged all attendees to remain focused and committed to the tenant of the NCCF vision as captured in pages 11 and 12 of the Chapter Handbook relatives to the conduct of Congress / Rallies.
The speech reads, ” Dear beloved, on behalf of the National Leadership, I welcome all congress participants in Ikeja, Jos, Minna, Onitsha and Abuja on the year 2024 events with the theme: “THE MASTER HAS COME” John 11:28. The theme is an affirmation of our earnest expectations this fellowship year.
” Arising from our operating theme which expresses our confidence in Jesus who never fails as encapsuled in CHRIST IN ME and progressively leading to the development of THE MIND OF CHRIST as the pillar that holds our lives to herald the arrive of the Master in our Chapters / Unit as the very present help in times of needs. He is indeed here to set our foot on a solid rock with a new song in our mouth.
“The Master has come to revive, restore and bring back to life all that the enemy has subdued, captured, destroyed and killed in our lives, family, career and ministry. Those Chapters and Units that has been operating below the minimal capacity of membership and programmes shall experience a supernatural reinvigoration to reach out to colleagues and friends to raise godly people and restore the established standard.
“The scriptures has made it known that the earnest expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off, and I am fully persuaded that the Divine Visitation to all our chapels and Fellowship Centres will trigger off evidence of the power of God and uncommon testimonies.
“I urge all attendees to remain focused and committed to the tenant of the NCCF vision as captured in pages 11 and 12 of the Chapter Handbook relatives to the conduct of Congress / Rallies.
” The National outreach secretary is expected to publish the reporting format for ease of reference by Chapter / Unit leaders who do not have the Chapter Operating Handbook.
“In preparation for the 2nd National Ministers Conference in August and the Prayer Concert in October, it is important to start early mobilization of material and financial resources to ensure good participation and success of the events. Articles /reports for the magazine, procurement of fellowship uniform and other items should be activated and arranged for the better delivery.

“A second National Chapel is in the making in Abuja. We are doing the needful to obtain the required approval for the ground breaking at Karu before the end of this quarter. Working together will strengthen our hands for this good work. The project team and the advisory committee has been constituted for proper coordination. The project basked account is also created for unhindered and strict implementation. All members, friends stakeholders are free to contribute / facilitate professionally, financially, and materially towards the celebration of Gods faithfulness in NCCF as we march towards our Silver Jubilee.”
Wishing you a faithful and impactful Congress and Rally
See you at Calabar in August.
Elder (Dr) E. J. Harrison
