CEW: What brings various districts and branches to Hotonu Mother Church today?
Dr. Esan: This is our Annual General Conference, where we discuss church matters, challenges, and the way forward.
Clarifying the Doctrine
CEW: Some churches question the Christian doctrine of Cherubim and Seraphim. What’s your take?
Dr. Esan: We’re Pentecostal, emphasizing spiritualism. We’re recognized by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) under Indigenous Churches of Nigeria.
Founding and Legacy
CEW: Who founded Cherubim and Seraphim, and what’s his legacy?
Dr. Esan: St. Moses Orimolade Tumonan founded the church, establishing its unique spiritual path.
Leadership Structure
CEW: How many Baba Aladura are in C&S in Nigeria?
Dr. Esan: We have over 50 Baba Aladura and Iya Aladura, each heading constituent churches with multiple branches.
