‘Obedience and Gratitude Bring Victory’ – Pastor Medo-Uwa Charges Congregation

Pentecostal Canaanland Mission, PCM was filled with praise and gratitude on Sunday, 5th July 2026 as the church held its 2026 Mid-Year Thanksgiving Service at the headquarters, 26/28 Adewunmi Abudu Street, Off Osolo Way, Ajao Estate, Lagos.
The thanksgiving, held in obedience to a divine instruction given to Pastor Nick Medo-Uwa in 1999, marked over two decades of God’s faithfulness through PCM — a ministry renowned for lives transformation, deliverance, and the preaching of undiluted word of God across the globe.
The celebration came on the heels of a major honour as Pastor Nick Medo-Uwa was recognized by the Lagos State Police Chaplaincy on 28th June 2026 for his outstanding humanitarian work and commitment to the work of Chaplaincy and humanity.
THE HONOUR
Presenting the award at the PCM auditorium, Command Chaplain CSP Ezekiel Ugbotor described Pastor Medo-Uwa as “a great man of God that has great passion for the things of God and humanity. He has made remarkable commitment to foster the work of Chaplaincy in the state and humanity.
Based on his sincerity and focus, we came to confer this award to him to encourage him to continue his good work. God’s presence is in PCM. Pastor Nick Medo-Uwa is a real man of God with great evidence.”
In his response, Pastor Medo-Uwa appreciated the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to continue in God’s assignment. “I enjoy doing what I am doing because I feel fulfilled obeying God’s commandment,” he said.
This adds to the Appreciation Award he received in April 2025 from the Christian Police Fellowship of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter for his contribution to the Fellowship and Christendom.
MID-YEAR THANKSGIVING: A NIGHT OF TESTIMONIES
The service began with a Friday night vigil where members dressed in white to render life-touching testimonies of God’s faithfulness.
Testimonies were recorded from people with various issues who came to testify of how God turned their situations around through PCM. The atmosphere was charged with thanksgiving as old and new members gathered to celebrate the goodness of God over the mission in the last 20+ years.
THE WORD: GRATITUDE AND OBEDIENCE
Ministering from Nehemiah 12:43, Pastor Nick Medo-Uwa declared: “I am limited but God is unlimited. We are here to thank God for what He has done and are still doing.
God is the director of our script. When you love God with your heart and spirit and obey Him, your journey becomes smooth.
God said I am a jealous lover — I must be number one in your life. There is victory in obedience. When grace finds a man, that person must be grateful.”
CONCLUSION
The 2026 Mid-Year Thanksgiving was a clear demonstration that God is still moving mightily through Pentecostal Canaanland Mission.
For Pastor Nick Medo-Uwa, the honours from the Police Chaplaincy and Christian Police Fellowship confirm that service to God and humanity attracts divine recognition.
PCM two decades of impact have produced one undeniable result: lives are being transformed, and God’s presence is evident.
As the congregation rejoiced, the message remained constant — Love God, Obey God, and Be Grateful. For in gratitude and obedience lies victory.
